General Price List
Prices effective January 1, 2008, but are subject to change without notice. All costs are determined when provided.
The goods and services below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only the items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our basic services and overhead. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide describing the funeral goods and services you selected. A complete price list will be provided by Lincoln Land Cremation Society.
Direct Cremation (Range of Prices) $6,580 to $1,585
Direct Cremation Without Ceremony $1,585
(when death occurs in Sangamon or Menard County), with alternative container.
Our charge for a direct cremation (excludes: ceremony, visitation) includes local transfer*, care and shelter of remains, transportation to crematory, basic services of staff*, 24 hour readiness of staff to provide expertise, consultation and personal service, and processing of authorizations and state permits, includes coroner’s permit ($10) and crematory fee ($295). If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made out of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The containers we provide are: a leak-proof box, and totally combustible cardboard and hardwood cremation caskets.
* Basic Services of Funeral Director, Staff and Transfer of Remains $1,260
Our charge includes counseling necessary arrangements, recording vital statistics, securing permits, filing and obtaining death certificates, and other forms and claims, preparation of necessary notices, and coordination of service plans with parties involved in the final disposition of the deceased. This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select (this fee is already included in our charges for direct cremation).
With Container Provided by Purchaser $1,545

Anatomical Donation without Ceremony $1,740
There is a local option for donation, as well as options in Chicago and St. Louis. This can be discussed at the arrangement conference. Mileage charges to Anatomical Association are $2.25/mile.

Terms and conditions:
- No cremation can take place without all proper authorizations.
- Terms are payment at the time of arrangements, by cash, check or credit card.
- Because of the low cost of our cremation services, our professional services are limited to the items listed above.
- We do not provide cash advances for outside services or products.
Some Important Notes Regarding Cremation...
- The body of a deceased individual may not be cremated prior to 24 hours from the time of death.
- No individual will be cremated without a death certificate signed by the attending physician (or Coroner, if applicable).
- Once all legal requirements are satisfied, we will be able to make an accurate estimation of the scheduling of an individual cremation.
- Advance Cremation Plans may be made and pre-funded. Please contact us with your questions about advance planning.
